People who prefer a calm ambience will enjoy Heritage Valley. This part of Edmonton is fairly good for those who like quiet surroundings, as the streets tend to be calm. Lastly, although the neighbourhood is not home to any parks, green spaces are especially well-spread out in nearby neighbourhoods, making it easy to access them from a large number of locations in this neighbourhood.

Single detached homes and townhouses are the predominant housing type in Heritage Valley. This part of the city is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Around 90% of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the rest are rented. The buildings in this area are very modern, because roughly all of its dwellings were built after the year 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960.

Both primary and secondary schools are easy to get to as a pedestrian from most houses for sale in Heritage Valley. However, parents may find it very hard for their schoolchildren to reach daycares without the use of a vehicle. As far as food is concerned, a supermarket is ordinarily reachable within an extended trip from most homes for sale in this neighbourhood.

Moving around by car is very convenient in Heritage Valley. Most homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, and it is easy to come across a parking spot. On the other hand, Heritage Valley is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most homes. This area is not very convenient for pedestrians because very few common errands can be run without the need to use a car. On the other hand, Heritage Valley is moderately bicycling-friendly since the cycling network is moderately extensive, and it is a flat ride to most destinations.
