Home buyers who prefer a relaxed ambience will enjoy Heritage Valley. This area is reasonably quiet overall, as there are low levels of noise from traffic. Lastly, it is easy to access public green spaces from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood since there are around 10 of them nearby for residents to check out.

Most of the housing growth in Heritage Valley has taken place following the year 2000. The housing stock of this part of the city is composed predominantly of single detached homes and row houses. As far as eating is concerned, property owners in Heritage Valley will welcome that a grocery store is always only a rather long trip away. A small number of restaurants and coffee shops are available as well.

Heritage Valley is an extraordinarily good part of Edmonton for driving. It is a reasonably short car ride to the closest highway from any home in this neighbourhood, and it is convenient to park. On the other hand, Heritage Valley is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, house owners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are commonly around the corner. It is inconvenient for pedestrians to move around in this part of Edmonton as running common errands is inconvenient without a vehicle. In contrast, Heritage Valley is rather bike-friendly as the cycling infrastructure is well-developed, and cyclists do not encounter serious hills.
